Transportation

Airport Transportation:

From the Henri Coanda International Airport Bucharest city centre and return.

Bus

The direct line (express) that connects the airport with the Conference venue (Intercontinetal Hotel) is line 783. Tickets can be bought in front of the Arrivals Terminal (cost of a ticket is 8 lei - approx. 1.9 euro). The line runs all week with the first bus leaving from the airport at 5:30 in the morning and the last one departing from the airport at 23:00. The Service runs every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends. A usual journey with the bus to Bucharest Downtown might take around 45-60 minutes.

The bus 783 will take you directly to the venue location. You should descend at the bus stop Piața Universității and walk across to the Intercontinental Hotel.


Taxi

The usual fee is 1.39 Lei/Km (0.32 eur/km) but you will find official airport taxis with 3.5 lei/km (0.8 eur/km).

If you want to pay by credit card you must travel with a Fly taxi car (3.5 lei/km).The vehicles are equipped with POS (terminals for electronic payment: American Express, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa) http://www.taxifly.ro/

Public Transportation

Bucharest's public transportation network includes: bus (autobuz), tram (tramvai), trolleybus (troilebuz) and subway (metrou).


RATB

Buses, trams and trolleybuses operate between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm.


Tickets must be purchased beforehand and validated upon boarding. Travelers may be asked to show the validated ticket during the trip. Travelers without a validated ticket must pay a 50 Lei (12 EUR) penalty. Tickets or passes can be purchased at any kiosk displaying the RATB logo. http://www.ratb.ro


Subway

The subway operates from 5:00 am until 11:00 pm.
